April Challenge
​

The April challenge is to is to watch this video on Career Assessments/Choosing a Major and complete this short survey by April 30. Those who participate will be entered into a gift card drawing.

The Skechers Foundation Scholarship Program has four separate scholarships each worth $5,000. In order to be eligible, applicants must be high school seniors who will be attending postsecondary education in the fall of 2026, they must be in good standing at their high school, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of their junior year, and they may only receive one scholarship from the Skechers Foundation. The four scholarships include Financial Hardship, Academic Excellence, Athletic Performance, and Promising Leaders. The deadline is April 15, 2026. 

ECMC’s The College Place–Northern Minnesota is excited to offer two spring scholarship opportunities—one for high school juniors and one for high school seniors. Each scholarship is valued at $500, and applications for both are due April 24, 2026.

Blackduck Firefighters Relief Association Scholarship
Eligibility – Blackduck Seniors who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 attending a post-secondary institution.  Preference will be given to someone who shows strong school and community involvement and plans to pursue a career in Firefighting, EMS, Law Enforcement or related fields.

Bob Ness Scholarship
Eligibility -- Seniors with high moral and ethical standards, sportsmanship while participating in varsity athletics or musical, drama, speech and art programs.

Eligibility – Blackduck High School students who have been involved in the wrestling program at least their junior and senior years.

Eligibility -- Blackduck Seniors who have been involved in the building trades class at Blackduck and are furthering their education in a related field; electrical, plumbing, heating or carpentry.

Eligibility -- Seniors involved in extra-curriculars and attending a vocational or technical school, must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Eligibility -- Seniors from Blackduck High School attending a post-secondary institution.  Students must have been involved in extra-curricular activities and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Madden McKean Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility -- Seniors from Blackduck High School attending a post-secondary institution.  They must have been enrolled in Blackduck Schools a minimum of two years and have demonstrated positive participation in school as well as the community.
