Students of the Week
SIETZ AND NELSON ARE STUDENTS OF THE WEEK
First grader Maddie Sietz and sophomore George Nelson are
this week’s Blackduck Students of the Week.
“Maddie Sietz is a wonderful student to have in class,” said her teacher, Cassie
Hietala. “She is a great example to her peers, showing kindness, determination, and respect. She is eager to learn, along with being a very hard worker. She is always willing to show a helping hand to students and staff. Maddie is full of smiles and giggles often with her fun-loving personality. She is such a joy to have in class!”
Sophomore George Nelson was selected as the BHS Student of the Week for his work in
Biology. “George has been nothing but kind and respectful in my class,” said Janelle Plaia. “While he has more absences than I'd like, he is in my room before and/or after school to get his makeup work and finishes and returns it quickly and done well.
